Mango Fury Home Page - Welcome!

This website chronicles the creation of a Citröen Mango coloured Fisher Fury sports car. On the 29th January 2009 the car finally passed it Single Vehicle Approval (SVA) test and from 1st April 2009 was registered and fully road legal. The somewhat slow build process is fully documented along with details of ongoing development.

About the Site

The two main aims of the site are to to update friends, family and work colleagues who have shown an interest in the project and to provide a detailed, illustrated record of the whole project for both my own benefit and for anyone building a Fury or similar kit car themselves.
So read on to find out why I choose the Fury, how it was built, what went wrong (plenty of stories there), what it's like to drive and, sadly, what it's like to crash!
Full details of the construction can be found in the Build section of the site.

About the Fury

The Fury is a well proven design using a tubular steel chassis and glass reinforced plastic (GRP) body shell. The option I have chose used reconditioned components from a Ford Sierra together with brand new purpose-built parts from Fisher Sports Cars (now Fury Sportscars). The end result is a car that weighs about a half that of a typical production family saloon has performance figures better than many production sports cars costing four of five times as much.
